OCPolitics•Com Campaign Police Track Down Fourth Mendacious GOP Campaign Flier

Haines And Fiure, Clearly In The Twilight Zone, Having Made Higher Property Taxes Inevitable, Think Voters Are Dumb Enough To Believe New Flier Promising “Lower Property Taxes”

2003 Budget Contains Biggest Spending Increase Ever, Covered Up By Burning Vital Reserves To Cover Up Big Tax Increase

Same Politicians, Backed By “Mayor” Inteso And GOP Boss Richard Clement, Having Killed The Only Viable Open Space Acquisition Plan And Failed Miserably To Do Anything About Excessive Development, Claim In The Same Flier With The Tax Lie They Have A Plan To “Stop” Overdevelopment

Dover Township: The 2003 township budget, covering spending from July 1, 2002 to June 30, 2003 and adopted late only three weeks ago, contained a huge spending increase and a big tax increase.

But the tax increase was covered up and postponed for a year by using vital reserves which will not be available next year to paper over another big spending increase.

Inteso

GOP Boss
Clement

Township Committee appointees Virginia Haines and Michael Fiure, together with Mayor Carmine Inteso and Republican Club Boss Richard Clement dictated the huge spending increase, making a significant tax increase inevitable for next year.

Tax Increase Will Be Worse Because Of Local Share Payments
On Whitman-Haines $22 Billion Pension Fund Disaster

The 2003 tax increase will be made even worse by enormous due bills which Dover Township will have to help pay beginning next year to defray the local share of $22 Billion in pension fund stock market losses by the Whitman administration, a disaster Haines helped to cause by supporting the big bond issue which provided the investment funds Whitman used to gamble in the stock market.

Local New Jersey taxpayers will have to come up with $1 Billion next year to bail out the pension fund.

Excessive Spending, Payroll Padding And Political Patronage Mandate Huge 2003 Tax Increase

Excessive spending in many departments, payroll padding in others, political patronage appropriations sprinkled throughout the township budget, together with the pension fund disaster, have wasted $$Millions and will contribute mightily to the big tax increases that are coming, a process that began earlier this year with the biggest school tax increase in three years.

Furthermore, the record is clear that Haines, Clement and Inteso were instrumental in killing the only serious plan ever presented to curb over-development by acquiring sufficient open space to take sensitive real estate, the developers’ raw materials, off the table and put it in the public domain.

Twilight Zone Revisited: Flier #4 Says Same Politicians Who Made Higher Taxes Inevitable Will Give Us “Lower Property Taxes” - Flier #4 Also Says Politicians Who Caused Excessive Development Will Now “Stop Overdevelopment”

The Republicans obviously think the voters are about to follow them into the twilight zone because the flier clearly implies the politicians who made the tax increases inevitable will keep a promise to “lower property taxes”.

The same flier, the fourth to take serious liberties with the truth, suggests the politicians who can “stop overdevelopment” are the ones who caused it in the first place. first questionable GOP flier appeared two weeks ago with a Haines resumé which included an award she received at a Girl Scout dinner, but omitted her 12 year career at the local sewer authority.
