Former “Mayor” Aldrich’s Letter To The
Ocean County Observer Contains A Rather Blatant Lie: Namely, The Claim
That He And Former “Mayor” Fox Resigned From The Dover Township
Committee “Because Of Illness”
Before
He Abandoned The Voters Who Elected Him, Aldrich “Abstained” Dozens Of
Times On Important Development And Water Resource Questions Because He
Was Paving The Roadways And Driveways And Parking Lots Of The Water
Company And Other Development Interests And Telling Taxpayers To “Get
Lost”
Grossly
Inflated Aldrich Golden Parachute Pension Could Open In Three Years

Aldrich
Left For
DMUA |
Either the
two of them are living on a different planet, or former Mayor Clarence
Aldrich’s recent letter to the Ocean County Observer claiming that he and
Former Mayor Fox resigned from the Dover Township Committee “because
of illness” is some kind of pretentious joke.
Fox
Resigned After He Moved To Cape May
Local media
reported that Fox resigned because he changed his telephone number and
relocated to Cape May and “to spend more time with my family” - NOT
because of illness.
Aldrich
Resigned To Take Golden Parachute
Pension Payoff At The DMUA
Local media
reported at least six times that Aldrich resigned from the Township
Committee to take a political payoff “Superintendent” job with an
inflated golden parachute pension at the Sewerage Authority - not
because of illness.
It was not
illness, but greed and arrogance, that created the pathetic situation
that has now given us Carmine “Camera Smasher” Inteso as Dover
Township’s third synthetic “Mayor” in seven months.
Strong
Sympathy For Local Government Change As
Over-Development Continues And Traffic Gets Worse
No wonder
there is strong sympathy for the proposed referendum to change the local government.
Over-development continues unabated, traffic gridlock is much worse
than it was last year; and the township committee is looking at a huge
tax increase down the road because they continue to curry favor with
development interests and will not adopt an adequate open space
acquisition program.
Aldrich
Conflicts Of Interest Went On And On
As an
elected official, Aldrich had the chance hundreds of times to choose
the interests of constituents over the development interests, but he
continued to “abstain” on important development and water policy
questions because he was paving their roadways and parking lots and
telling taxpayers who elected him to “get lost”.
Now some of
these same interests arranged for Aldrich to inflate his part time
township committee pension by “working” for 3 years at the Sewer
Agency in an unnecessary job at heavy cost to the taxpayers he
abandoned when he resigned in June.
Aldrich’s
letter is a gratuitous insult to anybody with a brain.
